Flash Plating - Corrosion & Wear Resistant

We specialize in flash chrome plating of core pins, cavity blocks, inserts, and molds ideal for wear surfaces. With uniform deposit thickness, we can hold uniform deposit thickness from one tenth through one thousand of an inch. ( .0001"-.001"). We cater to the tool & die and mold making industry. Electro chrome plating with its low coefficient of friction and a natural hardness of approximately 70 "Rockwell" done right with conforming electrodes. It has proven itself for many years to be the best deposit for the plastics industry for release and wear, as well as long life for molds. Flash chrome can also be applied for corrosion protection. There are many parts that use chrome - guns, taps, gages, fixtures, rolls, pins, cavity blocks, inserts, optical and medical instruments.

Nickel Plating - Corrosion Resistant

Nickel is electrodeposited (plated) for many reasons. First and foremost, nickel provides a decorative appearance because of its ability to cover imperfections in the base metal (leveling). This deposit can be made brilliant and when covered by a thin layer of decorative chrome, will maintain its brilliance even under severe conditions. When nickel is applied in "duplex" form, excellent corrosion protection can also be achieved. Nickel deposits also offer more wearability than softer metals such as copper or zinc, and thus can be used when wear resistance is needed. Because nickel is magnetic, nickel can sometimes be plated where the ability to be magnetized is needed. Finally, nickel can be plated with little or no stress. Nickle has many applications.
